| It was ordered that the Marshal be directed to instruct the force immediately to enforce the law on the subject strictly. Case of Maryland Anti-Saloon League, vs. Captain A. J. Pumphrey. The Board, by the vote as given below, acquitted Captain A.J.Pumphrey of the charges preferred against him by the Maryland Anti-Saloon League, under date of October 31,1902, and as recorded in the proceedings of November 21,1902. The hearing of which charges began November 21st and continued November 25, 26, 28, and concluded November 29,1902. The vote upon the finding in the case of charges of the Maryland Anti-Saloon League vs. Captain of Detectives A. J. Pumphrey, as above mentioned, was as follows;- President Upshur,....Yea, Commissioner Morris..Yea, Commissioner Fowler..Yea. Case of Maryland Anti-Saloon League. vs. Detective Harry Hammersla. The Secretary was directed to communicate with Mr. Morris A Soper, Counsel of the Maryland Anti-Saloon League, and ask him if Wednesday, December 3, 1902, would be agreeable for him to try Detective Harry Hammersla on charges preferred against him by the Maryland Anti-Saloon League.
