Second:- In having been asleep in a chair in the polling room of the Twelfth Precinct of the Thirteenth Ward, November 4th.,1902, while on active duty. The Secretary reported to the Board that the Department had been notified on Saturday, December 6, 1902, by Justice James A.Fechtig, Jr., Central District, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 P. M., December 6th., until 11 A.M., December 7, 1902, on account of sickness, and that he, the Secretary, had assigned additional Justice Neilson Por, Jr., to sit at the Central District Station-house during the absence of Justice Fechtig Jr., as above. The action of the Secretary in assigning Justice Poe to sit at the Central District Station-house, as hereinbefore mentioned, was approved. Donations. Upon the recommendation of the Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detective T.B.Hall be permitted to retain five dollars donated to him by William Reed, President of the Decorative Art Society, for taking care of valuables at exhibition December 5, 1902. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that Sergeant Frank J. Zellers, Northwestern District, be permitted to retain twenty dollars donated to him by the United States Government for the arrest of Ernest Wahl, |
