Officer John F.Wankrailler, Eastern District,was tried upon the following charge;found guilty thereof and fined $10.- Charge :-"Being in the office of Killer's warehouse, 1417 Thames street,from 2.02 A.M. to 2.47 A.M., December 11th,1902,on other than police business, and off his post." Officer Daniel Sylvester, Eastern District,was tried upon the following charge;found guilty thereof and fined §5.- Charge ;-¦Being in the office of Miller's warehouse, 1417 Thames street,from 2.02 A.M. to 2.4H A.M., December 11th,1902,on other than police business." Aaaignments of Magistrates. The secretary reported to the Board that on the afternoon of December 10th,1902,after the adjournment thereof, the department had been notified by Justice Adolph Sauber, Northwestern District, that he desired to be absent from his duties on December 11th,1902; that he, the secretary had assigned Additional Justice Nelson Foe, Jr., to sit at the Northwestern District during the absence of Justice Sauber as referred to. The action of the secretary in the assignment of Justice ""'oe as mentioned was approved. The secretary also reported to the Board that on December 11th, 1902, the department had been informed by Justice J.Mc.Kenny White, Northern District,that he would be unable,on account of sickness, to perform his duties on the afternoon of said date; that he, the secretary had author: zed Justice William Reed to act as police justice for the Northern District,until relieved, in the place of Justice White;Additional Justice "oe having been assigned to the Northwestern District as hereinbefore stated. The action of the secretary in authorizing Justice Reed to sit at the Northern District Station as mentioned,was approved. Leaves of absence without __E^___ Upon the recommendation of the Marshal,Officer Michael B.Command, Eastern District, was granted leave of absence without pay,?or December 12th,1902,account of death in his family. |
