205 CHARGE:- "Neglect of duty by failing to patrol his post from 4 A.M. to 6 A.M., December 25,1902; also by failing to return with his squad at 6.18 A.M. December 25,1902, he being four minutes behind the return of his squad." Officer Charles L. Latham, Eastern District, was tried upon, found guilty of the following charge and fined §2.00 CHARGE:- "Neglect of duty by failing to patrol his post from 4 A.M. to 5.30 A.M., December 25, 1902." Officer Charles L. Latham, Eastern District, was also tried upon the following charge, found guilty thereof and fined |2.00 CHARGE:- "Neglect of duty by failing to report at cor. Park avenue & Lexington street, at 6 P.M. December 24,1902, when ordered to do so, to. perform special duty. He reported at 7.08 P.M., being one hour and eight minutes late." Officer Frederick Isaacson. Eastern District, was tried upon charges as follows:- CHARGES:- 1st......Having failed to patrol his post from 12.50 to 3.05 A.M., December 24,1902. 2nd......Insubordination by having acted in a manner unbecoming an officer in saying to his sergeant, M.B.English, that he was a better man than the sergeant, and having invited him to leave the station and go into the street and settle the question. Officer Isaacson was acquitted of the first charge, found guilty of the second charge and fined §2.00. Officer George W.Hoffman, Northwestern District, was tried upon the following charges, found guilty thereof and fined £5.00 CHARGES:- 1st......Having been off his post and in the waiting room of the Lafayette Avenue Station, Pennsylvania Railroad, between 10.30 and 11.30 P.M., December 22,1902, on other than police business, and having drunk beer while in said waiting room at the t':me above mentioned. 2nd......Having been off his post, and in the waiting room of the Lafayette Station, Pennsylvania Railroad, 10.40 P.M., December 24,02, on other than police business.
