| 220 OFFICE. BOARD OP POLICE COMMISSIONERS t Baltimore, Monday, January 5th,1905. Board met, present, Messrs Upshur,Morris and Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, January 2nd,1903, were read,approved and adopted. Trials. Sergeat Thomas F. Connolly, Northern District, was tried upon the following charge,preferred by Officer Alfred C. Vermillion, and ac— quitted, CHARGE:- "Conduct unbecoming an officer in having used improper and threating language to Patrop'lman Alfred C. Vermillion, Northern District.on street car,Roland Park Line,United Ry.Co.,January 2nd,1903" Officer Peter V. Croghan, Eastern District.reported for having been five minutes late for roll call, 3.45 A.M., January 3rd,1903,was ex— cused. Distribution of Cards for Coal to Poor. Request of the Baltimore General Dispensary-—__ In the matter of the request of the Baltimore General Dispensary to have the police distribute cards for coal to the poor, as referred to in the proceedings of January 2nd,1903, a communication,as follows, was received, and it was ordered that the police be allowed to distribute the cards as desired by the said Baltimore General Dispensary;— "Baltimore,Jan *y.3,1903. "Mr.Josiah A.Kinsey, Secretary, Board of Police,City. Dear Sir:- Your communication received. I thank you for the suggestion regarding the Charity Organization. We prefer to distribute the coal outside of other organizations,and will thank you to allow the Police to distribute the cards in the Southern.Western and Northwestern Districts. Very truly yours, Adrain Oudesluys,Secretary." |
