| Donation. There were received from Detective John H. Kratz, through the hands of the Captain of Detectives and the Marshal, with the recommendation of the former, fifteen dollars as having been given to the said detective by Alfred Liebman,614 Forrest street,for the arrest of Hugo Liebman, and the recovery of £169.-,stolen money,etc. Accompanying said money was also a report from Lieutenant Charles M. Cole, Central District, as to the connection of Round Sergeant John J. Strott and Sergeant George J. Hoyle,of the Central District, with the case mentioned. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal,sent to the Board verbally by way of the secretary, it was ordered that the fifteen dollars above referred to be distributed equally between Dtective John H. Kratz, Round Sergeant John J. Strott, Sergeant George J. Hoyle. Complaint, Saloon,-China and Montgomery Sts. An unsigned communication was received complaining of violation of the liquor lav/ at saloon, China and Montgomery streets. It was ordered that the said complaint be referred to the Marshal for his attention. Requisition—Acct. Board of Police Examiners-Salaries,etc Requisition No.30 was drawn on the Mayor and City Council for -^1,000, to pay the salaries of the three members of the Board of Police Examiners and their secretary for the month of December,1902,and the increase in salaries of the members of said Board from June 1st to November 30th,1902, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 591,Section 745 A.,Laws of 1902.
