eOGC 237 Appointments. Sergeants, Patrolmen and Probation Officers« As to. The following named appointed January 9,1903, as referred to in the minutes of that date, to take effect to-day, were commissioned, bonded, took the oath of office before the Superior Court, and were assigned as hereunder:- Serge'ant,Wm.J.Forrest, Northern District, Sergeant,James B. Boone,Mounted Service, Northern District, Patrolman, Janes A. Reams, Patrolman, Charles A. Leach, patrolman, Joseph F. Lurz, Patrolman John T. Higgins, Probation Officer Wm. R. Spittel, S.W.District, Probation Officer George W. Hennick, Northern District. Horse Failed by Car of United Railway & Electric Company. Reports were received from Captain George League, Southwestern District, and Lieutenant of Mounted Police, David P. McClelland, upon the subject of horse of Southwestern District Patrol Service killed by having been struck by Car No. 1542, United Railway & Electric Company, January 8,1903; also damage to patrol wagon of the Southwestern District. The Secretary was directed to make claim upon the United Railway & Electric Company for £180.00, value of horse §175.00, and damage to wagon $5.00 See reports above referred to filed, as Exhibit No.920. Donations. Upon the recommendation of Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detective George W. Seibold be permitted to retain ten dollars, donated to him by State Fire Marshal R. M. Price, for services in investigating the burning of the dwelling of Mr. Carroll B. Blick, near Lake Station, Northern Central Railroad, December 20,1902. Upon the recommendation of Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detective Thomas F. Hogan be permitted to retain five dollars, donated to him by State Fire
