| OFFICE OF BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. Baltimore, Wednesday, January 21, 1903. Board met; present. Messrs. Upshur and Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, January 19,1903, were read, approved and adopted. Assignment of Magistrates. The Secretary reported that on January 20th., in the absence of the Board Justice Adolph Sauber had notified the Department that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 to 5 P. M., January 20th., and that he, the Secretary, had assigned Justice Neilson Poe, Jr., to sit at the Northwestern District Station-house during the absence of Justice Sauber, as above. The action of the Secretary in assigning Justice Poe to the Northwestern District, as referred to, was approved. The Secretary also reported to the Board that on January 20th., in the absence of the Board, Justice Fechtig, Central District, had notified the Department, by telephone, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 to 5 P. M., January 20th;that he, the Secretary, had authorized Justice Jacob Rab to act as Police Justice for the Central District from 3 P. M., January 20th. until relieved. The action of the Secretary in assignment of Justice Rab, as above, to the Central District, was approved. Pool Room. 406 E. Fayette street. A communication was received from C. H. Phillips complaining of Pool Room, 406 E. Fayette street, where Mr. Phillips alleges, minors are permitted to play in violation of law. It was ordered that the said complaint be referred to the Marshal for his attention. |
