| 265 Escape of Prisoner, H.E.District. A report was received, through the hands of the Marshal from Captain Charles W. Gittings, Northeastern District, upon the subject of escape of prisoner George Benson,c, from Turnkey John M. Ford. Said report was read and ordered filed, see Exhibit No.927. Patrol Box Post paid for By Adams Express Company. The Secretary handed the Board Fifteen Dollars, which had been collected from the Adams Express Company, for post of Patrol Box #43, Charles Street Bridge, broken by wagon of the said Adams Express Company, January 16th 1903. The Secretary was directed to use the Fifteen Dollars, above referred to, for the purpose of a new post to be kept in stock to meet future emergencies. ( See communication to Lineman Boone). Wrestling Match. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that permit be granted the Eureka Athletic Club to hold Wrestling Match, Germania Maennerchor Hall, Wednesday, February 4th. 1903. Request of Edward C. Belue. City Trust and Banking Company. Privilege to address the Police at Stations. A request, as follows, was received and refused:- "Baltimore, January 27, 1903. Board of Police Commissioners, City. Gentle men:- I beg to inquire whether you would grant the undersigned, authority, to address the overleaf Station-house police officers for about fifteen minutes, ( when retiring from duty) in the banking business. I represent the City Trust & Banking Company, located on West Baltimore street near Paca and desire to open bank accounts. The address shall be concise and only relative to the saving account pertaining to interest allowed on deposits. I desire to visit the following station-houses, viz:- |
