Costs, February 4-------------------$53.30 do February 5—----------------24.30 The Board adjourned at 1.10 o'clocV P.M., OFFICE OF BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. Baltimore. Monday, February 9, 1903, Board met; present, Messrs. Upshur & Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, Friday, February 6,1903, were read, approved and adopted. Trials. In the case of Officer William J. Poplar, Western District, charged with conduct unbecoming an officer, as referred to in the proceedings of February 6th., hearing of which charge was heard February 6th., and continued until to-day. The testimony of witness Isaac H.Webb was taken and Officer Poplar acquitted. It having come to the knowledge of the Board that Officer William J. Poplar after the hearing of charges against him February 6th.,1903, accosted Justice Daniel J. Loden, Western District, in the Lobby of the Courthouse, adjoining the office of the Board, and asked the said Justice to dismiss the case pending against Mrs. Mary E. Webb and Mrs. May Moore. Justice Loden was called before the Board and verified the information above referred to. Officer Poplar was thereupon reprimanded for his conduct in approaching Justice Loden, as aforesaid, and warned against a repetition in the future. Officer Charles P. Porn, Northwestern District, was fined §1.00 for having been twenty-five minutes late for roll-call 3.45 |
