| Donation. Upon the recommendation of the Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detective Peter J. Brennan be permitted to retain Ten Dollars, donated to him by Mrs. Beard for services in locating and returning her daughter. Six Lanterns for Central District. Upon the requisition of Captain Edward Schleigh, Central District, recommendation of the Deputy Marshal, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered by the following vote that there be purchased for the Central District, six lanterns. The vote upon the purchase of lanterns, as above, was:- President Upshur......Yea, Commissioner Fowler...Yea. (See Exhibit No.943.) Hood for Chimney. Northwestern District. Upon the requisition of Captain John A. G. Shultz, recommendation of the Deputy Marshal, approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that a new hood be provided for the chinmey of the Northwestern District Station-house. The vote upon the above was as follows:- President Upshur......Yea, Commissioner Fowler...Yea. (See Exhibit No.944). Permit for Wrestling Match. Application was received from Charles J. Weiss for permit to hold Wrestling Match, Germania Maennerchor Hall, February 13th. It was ordered that the said application be referred to the Marshal for investigation and recommendation. |
