Saloon. 428 N. Caroline Street. An unsigned communication was received complaining of the sale of liquor on Sunday, etc., at saloon 428 N. Caroline Street, kept by a man by the name of Watts. It was ordered that the said complaint be referred to the Marshal with instructions to give the matter his special attention. Treasurer's Report. The Treasurer, Edward H. Fowler, handed the Board his report of receipts and expenditures of the GENERAL AND SPECIAL FUNDS, for the six months ending December 31,1902. In this connection communication, as follows, was received from the Comptroller of the City:- DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE. SUB-DEPARTMENT, CITY COMPTROLLER. CITY HALL. Baltimore, ltd., February 11,1903. George M. Upshur, Esq., Presdt., Board of Police Commissioners. Dear 3ir:- In accordance with your request, Mr. A. M. Collins, an AUDITOR in this Department, has examined the accounts of the BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS, and reports as follows: "In accordance with your instructions, I have made a complete audit of the receipts and disbursements of the Police Department, both General and Special Funds, and the Cloth Account, for the six months ending December 31,1902, and find the same correct." Very truly yours, JAMES H. SMITH, Comptroller." It was ordered that, the reports of the Treasurer, as above referred to, be transmitted to His Excellency, The Governor, as required by law.
