cOGC 331 T r i a 1 3 . Officer Levin W.Robinson. Northwestern District, was tried upon the charge of having been in Harlem Hall,710 North Strieker street,from 1.40 A.M. to 2.47 A.M., March 4th,1903, on other than police business; found guilty of the said charge, fined §5. and watned. Officer Alonzo W. Lockwood, Northeastern District, reported for having failed to attend school of instructions,6 P.M., March 3rd,1903, was excused. Assignments of Magistrates. The secretary reported to the Board that Justice Adolph Sauber,Northwestern District, notified the department March 3rd,1903, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. of the same date;that,he, the secretary assigned Justice Jacob Rab to act as police justice for the Northwestern District during the absence of Justice Sauber aforesaid. The action of the secretary in the assignment of Justice Rab as above, was approved. Justice Antony Demarco was authorized to act as police justice for the Central District from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. to day, in the place of Justice James A.Pechtig.Jr., who notified the Board he desired to be absent from his duties during the hours named,on account of sickness. ( Additional Justice Nelson Poe,Jr., sitting at the Western District ) Leave of Absence,——Marshal. Marshal Thomas F.Farnan was granted leave of absence for two weeks,commencing Monday,March 9th,1903. Donations. Upon the recommendation of the Captain of Detectives,approved by the Marshal, it was ordered that Detective T.B.Hall be permitted to retain three dollars donated to him by Miss Nannie Price,1119 Bolton street,for the recovery of a stolen watch. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal it was ordered that Sergeant Joseph Smith, Northern District, be permitted to retain thirty dollars donated to him by the United States Government for the arrest of Cleveland White, a deserter from the U.S.Array.
