OGC 337 OFFICE OF BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. Baltimore. Md.. Friday. March 6, 1903. Board met; present, Messrs. Upshur and Fowler. The Minutes of the previous meeting. Wednesday. March 4, 1905, were read, approved and adopted. Trials. Officer William F. Steward. Eastern District, was fined ^2.00 and warned for having been in the kitchen of house 1905 Bank street, occupied by Henry Yeager at 3.30 A. M. March 5,1903, on other than police business. Officer William S. Lee, Eastern District, reported for having failed to attend School of Instructions, 6 P. M., March 4, 1903, was excused. Donation. Upon the recommendation of Captain of Detectives, approved by the Marshal, it v/as ordered that Detective Thomas P. O'Donnell be permitted to retain Ten Dollars, donated to him by William A. Jubb for the recovery of $39.00, property of said Jubb. Wrestling Match. In the matter of the application of Charles J. Weiss for permit to hold Wrestling Match at Germania Kaennerchor Hall, March 13th., as referred to in the proceedings of March 4,1903, a report, as follows, was received from the Marshal: "Baltimore, Md., March 6th.,1903. To The Honorable, The Board of Police Commissioners. Gentlemen:- Referring to the application of Mr. Charles J. Weiss to conduct a wrestling match at Germania Maennerchor Hall on March 13, 1903, I beg, respectfully, to report that I have had before me several persons in order to determine whether or not these matches were of a bona-fide character, and after hearing the statements of these people,(which statements are herewith), I am led to the belief that there is more or less prejudice on the part of others who conduct similar exhibitions and who are inimical to the interests of Weiss.
