| OFRICE OF BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. Baltimore. Md.. Monday, March 9. 19Q5. Board met; present, Messrs. Upshur, Morris & Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, March 6, 1905, were read, approved and adopted. Opium & Gambling Joint, Brederick St. between Fayette & Gay. Communication from Grand Jury. In the matter of the communication received from the Grand Jury complaining of Opium & Gambling Joint on Frederick Street, between Fayette & Gay Streets, operated by Chinese, as referred to in the proceedings of March 4,1903, the Board received a communication from the Marshal as to his investigation as to the character of the place above referred to. The said communication was read, and the Secretary was directed to transmit the same to Mr. David H. Hutzler, Foreman of the Grand Jury with the request that it be read to the Grand Jury and returned for the files of the: Secretary's office. Papers filed as Exhibit No. 978. Changes in Patrol & Jail Van Service. Central District. Recommendation was received from David P. McClelland, Lieutenant of Mounted Police, recommending that the following changes be made in the patrol and Jail van service in the Central District, viz Officer Michael Sheehey, now driver of the patrol wagon to driver of the jail van, vice Officer Thomas Kelly, retired. Officer John F. Coulter, now footman of the patrol wagon to driver of patrol wagon, vice Officer Sheehey. Officer John J. Acker now substitute wagon man to be assigned regularly as footman of the patrol wagons, vice Officer Coulter Officer John Wood to substitute wagon man, vice Acker. |
