OFFICE OF BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. Baltimore. Md.. Wednesday, March II, 1903. Board met; present, Messrs. Upshur. Morris & Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, Monday, March 9. 1903, were read, approved and adopted. Trial. Officer William P. Hildebrandt, Central District, was before the Board charged with conduct unbecoming an officer 3.30 A.M.,March 10,1903, by saying he was going to bring Sergeant Jospeh F.Norton before the desk for telling bin a yarn about a fight that occurred on Saturday night near the Hotel Studio; that he would make it hot for him, as he, the sergeant, took him before the captain last Thursday evening without cause. The Board after hearing the testimony of Sergeant Joseph F. Norton and statement of Officer Hildebrandt reprimanded the officer for his action. Application for Retirement. Officer Thomas Ferris. Northeastern District. Application was received from Officer Thomas Ferris, N.E. District, asking the Board to retire him owing to certain physical disabilities, which he claims renders him unfit for further police service. The Board ordered that the Police Physicians be instructed to hold a medical survey upon this officer, and report the result of same to the Board at an early date. Handcuffs for Northern District. Upon the recommendation of Captain Bernard J. Ward, approved by the Deputy Marshal, it was ordered that there be purchased for use at the Northern District two pair of handcuffs.
