Rejection of names on Eligible List Grade of Probation Officer. The following names on Eligible List, No.8, for the grade of Probation Officers were rejected, by the following vote, viz:-Nq. 40 « George C. James, 85. Charles G.Wauner, 93. John H. Shubert. The vote upon the rejection of the forgoing from eligible list, was:- President Upshur.......Yea, Commissioner Morris, Yea, Commissioner Fowler, Yea. Donations. Upon the recommendation of Detective Thomas F. Hogan, in charge of Detective Department, approved by the Deputy Marshal, it was ordered that Detective Thomas P. O'Donnell be permitted to retain Five Dollars donated to him by Benjamin & Co. for attending pawnbrokers' sale, March 9,1903. Upon the recommendation of Detective Thomas F. Hogan, in charge of Detective Department, approved by the Deputy Marshal, it was ordered that Detective "ichard K. Thomas be permitted to retain Five Dollars, donated to him by Mess. Patterson & Gahan, for attending auction sale March 9,1903. Communication from Board of Police Examiners. The Board received communication from Mr. Henry Fenge1, Secretary, Board of Police Examiners, stating that examination for the grade of Policeman would be held by the said Board of Police Examiners on March 14,1903, at 8.30 o'clock A.M., at the Eastern Female High School, Orleans & Aisquith streets.
