| Captain John A.G.Shultz, Northwestern District, having appeared before the Board to day, and denied emphatically each and all the several charges contained in the publication referred to reflecting upon himself, and having stated to the Board that he would be glad of an opportunity to enter suit against the Baltimore Herald because of the damaging statements made respecting himself in said publication, the Board directed that Mr.Alonzo L.Miles, Counsel, be instructed to bring an action against the Baltimore Herald,in the name of Captain Shultz. Application for___ Retirement from Officer Thomas E. Arnold, 3.'V. An application was received from Officer Thomas E. Arnold, Southwestern District,for retirement on the ground that he is physically unable to continue to perform police duty. It was ordered that the Police Physicians be directed to survey the said officer Thomas E.Arnold to ascertain whether he is incapacitated permanently for active police duty. Transfers. Upon the recommendation of the Marshal,it was ordered that that transfers as follows be made,to take effect March 26th,1903,viz;- That Sergeant Joseph W.Griffis,Southern District,be transferred from Division B. to Division A, That Sergeant George W. Sindall,Southern District,be transferred from Division A. to Division B , That Sergeant Ernest W.SchultS, Western District, be transferred to the Southern District,and assigned to Ho.4 squad,vice Appleby .retired, That Sergeant Patrick J.Clark,Southern District,be transferred from No.3 to No.l squad,3.Division, That Sergeant V/illiam H. Miller, Southern District,be transferred from No.l to No.3 squad, B.Division, That Officer John 3.Schuster,Southern District,be transferred from Division A. to Division B., That Officer Robert Sullivan,Southern District,be transferred from Division A. to Division B., That Officer Thomas Norton, Southern District, be transferred from Division A. to Division B , That Officer E. E. Doherty, Southern District, be transferred from Division B. to Division A. |
