| ------ 385 Trials. Officer John J. Monohan, Northwestern District, was fined One Dollar for having been fifty minutes late for roll call,3.45 A.M., March 29th,1903. Officers Beverly U.Feinour and Henry Yoat, Southern District, were each fined Two Dollars for having been six minutes behind their squad coming in off duty at 4.18 A.M., torch 28th,1903, and warned. Officer John T. Higgins, Northern District, was tried upon the following charges, found guilty thereof and reprimanded;- 1st;- Having been thirteen minutes behind his squad coming in off duty,4.20 A.M., March 28th,1903. 2nd:- Having been asleep on a step while waiting for his squad,on St.Paul street near 25th,on the morning of torch 28th,1903. Assignments of Magistrates^ The secretary of the Board reported that Charles H.Heuisler, Magistrate for Juvenile Causes, notified the department in the afternoon of March 27th, 1903, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 P.M.,March 28th,190# to 9 A.M., March 29th,1903} that he, the secretary assigned additional Justice Nelson Poe,Jr., to sit in the Juvenile Court in the place of Judge Heuisler during his absence as above. The action of the secretary in assigning Justice ?oe to the Juvenile Court as stated,was approved. The secretary of the Board also reported that Justice John T.Ross, Southwestern District,notified the department that he desired to be absent from his duties from 9 A.M.,March 29th,1903, to 8 A.M., March 31st,1903; that he, the secretary, assigned Additional Justice Nelson Poe,Jr., to sit at the Southwestern District Station-house during the absence therefrom of Justice Ross as above. The action of the secretary in assigning Justice Poe to the Southwestern District Station House,as stated, was approved. Justice Jacob Rab was authorized to act as police justice for the Northeastern District from 8 A.M.,March 31st,1903, until relieved,in the place of Justice James ?'.Lewis, (Additional Justice Nelson Poe,Jr., sitting at the Southwestern District Station-house).
