| 384 Officers DemMtnor in "ourt. Request to State's Prosecuting Officers to be present at School of Instructions. It having come to the knowledge of the Board that some of the officers of the Department in testifying in the Criminal Court in cases of the arrests made by them show by their manner and speech on the stand, a want of training upon the subject of what is evidence and what is not, and that they often prejudice the State's cases by a lack of discrimination, over-«ealousness and anxiety to testify beyond what would constitute,properly,answers to the questions put tb thera, The Board directs that the State's attorney be requested to assign one of his deputies to be present at the School of Instruct ons at the several Station-houses, with a view of giving such assistance as may be necessary, that the members of the force may be instructed as to the performance of their duties in the above particular.
