as above, was, Commissioner Morris.........Yea Commissioner Fowler..........Yea. See recommendation filed as Exhibit No.1001. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Folic*, it was ordered,by the following vote, that the heavy dayton wagon of the department be repaired in accordance with the suggestions of the said Lieutenant of Mounted Folice, at cost of Fifty Five Dollars; The vote upon the subject of repairs to the dayton wagon, as above, was, Commissioner Morris.........Yea, Commissioner Fowler.........Yea. See recommendation filed as Exhibit No.1002. Officer F. W. Watkins. N. W. D. A communication was received complaining of the failure of Officer M. W. Watkins,of the Northwestern District, to arrest his wife for an assault upon an unknown man; the said communication without signature. It was ordered that the complaint mentioned be referred to the Marshal for investigation. Retirement of Officer Thomas E.Arnold,-Southwestern Dist. The police physicians having reported Officer Thomas E. Arnold, Southwestern District, as permanently incapacitated for active police duty,by reason of physical disability, it was ordered that the said officer Arnold be retired on one half pay, the said retirement to date from April 16th,1903. The vote upon the retirement of Officer Thomas E. Arnold,as above, was, Commissioner Morris...........Yea, Commissioner Fowler...........Yea. (Officer Arnold was appointed July 17,1884).
