__Assignments of Magistrates. The secretary of the Board reported that in the afternoon of March 50th,1903,-it having been been reported that Additional Justice Nelson Poe,Jr., would be without assignment on I'arch 31st,1903,- he, the secretary, had assigned Justice ?oe to the Northeastern District Station-house for March 31st, instead of Justice Jacob Rab who had been authorized previously to sit at said station on said date,as mentioned in the proceedings of March 30th,1903, in the place of Justice Janes W,Lewis. The action of the secretary,as above, was approved. The secretary of the Board also reported that the department was notified 6n the morning of March 31st,1903, that Justice John T. Ross, Southwestern District, had failed to return to his duties,and that he,the secretary, had authorized Justice Jacob Rab to act as police Justice for the said Southwestern District on March 31st,1903, Justice Nelson Poe,Jr., having been assigned to the Northeastern District,as referred to above. The action of the secretary in the assignment of Justice Rab,as above, was approved. The secretary of the Board also reported that as Justice James W.Lewi3,Northeastern District , had returned to his duties, he the secretary,had assigned Justice Nelson ?oe,Jr. to sit at the Southwestern District Station from 8 A.M. to day,until relieved,in the place of Justice John T. Ross,absent. The action of the secretary in the assignment of Justice Poe as stated,was approved. Donation. Upon the recoamendation of the Marshal,it was ordered that Round Sergeant Samuel W.House,Northern District, be permitted to retain Thirty Dollars,donated to him by the United States Government for the apprehension of Ellsworth Alexander, a deserter from the United States Army. Repairs to Wagons. Upon the recommendation of the Lieutenant of Mounted Force, and by the vote as shown below, it was ordered that the Marshal's phaeton be repaired in accordance with the suggestion of the said Lieutenant of Mounted police,at cost of Fifty Three dollars; The vote upon the matter of repairs to the Marshal(s phaeton,
