| OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS. ———000000———- Baltimore,Friday,April 3rd,1903, Board met, present,Messrs Dpshur,Morris and Fowler. The minutes of the previous meeting, Wednesday, April 1st,1903, were read, approved and adopted. Trial. Officer George E.Deal, Eastern District, was fined One Dollar for having been twenty five minutes late for school of instructions,11 A.M., April 1st,1903. Assignments of Magistrates. The secretary reported that Justice Daniel J. Loden, Western District, notified the department,on the afternoon of April 2nd,1903, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 3 P.M. of that date until further notice; that he, the secretary had assigned Additional Justice Nelson Poe,Jr., to sit at the Western District Station-house during the absence therefrom of Justice Loden as above referred to. The action of the secretary in the assignment of Justice Poe as mentioned,was approved. The secretary also reported that Charles W.Heuisler,Magistrate for Juvenile Causes,notified the department in the afternoon of April 2nd, 1903, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 8 A.M., April 3rd, to 8 A.M., April 4th,1903; that he,the secretary, assigned Justice J. Mc. Kenny White,Northern District, to act as Magistrate for Juvenile Causes during the absence of Judge Heuisler as mentioned, and authorized Justice William Reed to act as police justice for the Northern District during the absance therefrom of Justice Reed by reason of his assignment to the Juvenile Court as referred to. The action of the secretary in the assignment of Justice J.Mc.Kenny White and William Reed,as above, was approved. Justice Jacob Rab was authorized to act as police justice for the Eastern District from 8 A.M., April 4th,1903, until relieved, in the place of Justice William J. Garland,who notified the Board he wished to be absent from his duties on account of sickness. (Additional Justice Poe at the Western District.) |
