Received the within sum of forty-nine dollars and fifty cents, in full. S49 50. THADDEUS JACKSON. I do certify, that cavalry were, by my order, stationed at the Fort, to communicate to me information by day, andbj night topatrole the shore for a mile, to give notice in case the enemy should attempt a landing in the Western Branch of the Patapsco, he being then in great force in view.
