DAS TO SPEAK BEFORE J. G. L. ON Tuesday afternoon, April 30, the members of the Just Government League of Maryland and their friends will have an opportunity to greet Taraknath Das, a native of India, but now an American citizen working hard for the freedom of India under the auspices of the Friends of Freedom for India. Mr. Das is a friend of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Dankmyer of this city, and is at present working in New York for freedom for his native land. The purpose of the Friends of Freedom for India is "to maintain the right of asylum and to see that Hindu political prisoners and refugees in America get justice in the light of American traditions; to assist in fair, frank and open discussion that the truth about India may be ascertained." Dudley Field Malone, ex-counsel for the suffrage pickets, is vice-presi- dent of the Friends of Freedom for India, of which Robert Morse Lovett is president. Mr. Das will speak at 4 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, and Mrs. Charles H. Dankmyer and Mrs. M. Burlingame will be the hostesses for the afternoon.
