THE JEFFERSONIAN TOWSON, MABYIiAND. Entered as second-class matter at the Postofflce at Baltimore, Maryland. Telephone—Tow»on 280. .-dblished every Saturday at Towson, Baltimore County, Maryland, by The Baltimore County Jeflersonlan Publishing Company, Incorporated. OFFICERS. W. Gill Smith Hlmer R. Haile, President. Secretary. Wm. J. Peach, Martin J. O'Hara, Vice-President. Treasurer. BOARD OF DIRECTORS j ohn M. Dennis William J. Peach, Martin J. O'Hara, W. Gill Smith, Carville D. Benson. Elmer R. Haile, Logie Bonnett______________ »,i>GIE BONNETT, Editor and Manager liVLLTIMORE COUNTY SHOULD BE EXCLUDED PROM STATE GAME LAW. According to a dispatch from Annapolis, Delegate Given on Tuesday introduced a bill to exclude Baltimore county from the State Game Law. The bill was referred to the Committee on Fish and Game. While we have not seen the text of Vi- Given's bill, if it does exclude Bal-timore county from the State Game Law as reported, we give our unqual-iiied approval of the measure, and hope that Mr. Given will be successful in st curing its passage. is pointed out in The Jeffersonian last week, although the Clerk of the Court at Towson last year turned over to the State Game Warden $7,000 in -unner's license %e#the people of Bal-ti uore county received in return an allotment of only 300 partridges, 42 of these being dead upon delivery. In otner words, the gunners of Baltimore canty were obliged to pay something HI e $23.33 a head for the birds they received last year, and only ordinary birds at that! if this amount of money were placed i„ the hands of a competent local game warden, as heretofore, we feel satisfied that far better results could be obtained, not only in birds but in the betterment of the game situation gen- ei illy The administration of the State Game Vv arden, so far as Baltimore county is concerned, has been a farce; and a v c-v costly farce at that. Baltimore county is certainly com-m tent to look after its own fish and game and the sooner it is divorced from the State Game Warden the better. NOTICE. February 13, 1920.
