Local Correspondence WHITE HOUSE. Mrs. Frank P. Bossom entertained Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Armacost, Mrs. J. O. Alban, Mrs. Bstella Benson, and Mrs. Silas Lloyd on Tuesday last. Mrs. Lula Royston, Mrs. Hattie Armacost and Messrs. Thomas and Harry Wisner, of Salem, visited Mr. and Mrs. Lewis B. Morfoot on Tuesday. Mrs. Frank Bossom and Mrs. Charles Royston spent Tuesday in Towson. Mrs. Frank Peregoy and daughter, Dorothy, spent one day last week with her mother, Mrs. Lula Martin. Mr. Joseph M. Armacost was a guest Sunday at the home of Mr. F. Bossom. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence I. Haile spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Hoffman, of Mt. Carmel. Mr. and Mrsi. L. E. Morfoot entertained a number of relatives and friends on Saturday evening. Mrs. John L. Kemp and daughter, Mildred, spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Lula Martin. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peregoy and daughter, Dorothy, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. D. Howard Peregoy, of Cedar Grove. MT. CARMEL. We wish to congratulate Miss Melvie Morfoot and Mr. Alexander Thompson, who were married last Saturday and who were given an old time serenade Tuesday night, also Miss Nellie Brooks and Mr. Blwood Thompson, who were married last Thursday, at Mt. Carmel. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Benson, of Pleasant Grove, spent Sunday with the former's parents, Mr. R. S. Benson. The Quarterly Conference of Hereford Circuit was held at Hereford last Saturday. We are sorry to lose our pastor, Rev. Graham, who has accepted a charge in the South, and will move there in the near future. Quite a few sales are to be held in the next few weeks, and many changes will follow in the Spring. WOODLAWN. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Sauter and children are ill with Flu. Mrs. Henry Reiblich, Jr., and little son, Tilghman, are on the sick list. "In union there is strength" is being proven every day, and especially so on last Saturday when Messrs. Ellsworth Sauter and George Kahler harrowed the snow on the public road and Mr. Edward Sauter followed with a four horse snow plow. By their efforts the Dogwood road has been the most popular during the last week. Mr. Bealle, of Baltimore, who was to have led the Epworth League at Em-marts' Church last Sunday had to postpone his engagement until February 22. on account of suffering with the influenza. Miss Blanche Kalb is suffering with a bone felon on her first finger, which has been very painful. Tomorrow (Sunday) night, Mr. Alvin N. Euler will lead the Epworth League. Officers for the ensuing year will be elected immediately after the service. -o- MANOB GLEN. Miss Blanche Gunther spent the past week-end with relatives in Baltimore. Mrs. Edward Adlesberger was the victim of a painful accident on Monday. She fell on the ice and broke her leg just below the knee. She was taken to a hospital on Tuesday. Mr. St. Clair Hessi, Jr., and Mr. John Hanlon are ill with Flu. Mr. Henry Gunther, who has been ill for some time, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, Baltimore, where it is hoped he will soon recover. Miss Matilda Reider is confined to her home with a heavy cold. BBOOKLANDVILLE. Mr. J. R. Robinson, station agent at Brooklandville, died on Monday last, of pneumonia. His funeral was held yesterday (Friday) at 10 o'clock, from his parents home, Mr. and Mrs. D. T Robinson, Freeland, Md. Burial was made at Mt. Zion Cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maude Robinson, his parents, two sisters: and one brother, who have the sympathy of their many friends. -----------O----------- ROCKLAND. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Connolly, of Baltimore, and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Poe, of Mt. Washington, were visitors here last Sunday. Mrs. M. L. Garrett is ill at her home. District Superintendent, Rev. John S. Ensor, presided. This church, which is one of the oldest in this neighborhood, will be replaced by a handsome edifice, of Gothic design. Mr. and Mrs. J. Harmon Schone are confined to their bed with a severe case of grip. Mr. J. Charles Raspe has bpautified his home by having his house covered with walnut stained shingles, which add much to its appearance. Mr. Clinton Biddison, who owns a ranch in Montana, paid a visit to his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Biddison, last week. -0- ARMACOST. Mr. Chrles W. Martin is suffering an attack of grippe. Mr. Oliver Schultz, of Sparrows Point, spent a few days visiting in this town. Mr. Eugene Worthington, of Hamp-stead, lost his horse near the White House, by over feeding with oats. LEGAL NOTICES. PARCELL, IN THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR BALTIMORE COUNTY, IN EQUITY. The object.of this suit is to procure a divorce a Vinculo Matrimonii and the care and custody of the minor child, Beatrice, by the plaintiff, from the defendant. The bill states that the parties were married on the 4th day of January, 1902, and that they resided together until the 12th day of January, 1917. That the plaintiff has been a resident of the State of Maryland, for more than two years preceding the filing of her bill of complaint, while the defendant, Russell L. Parcell, is a non-resident of the State of Maryland, and was last heard from in Akron, Ohio. That there is one child as issue of said marriage, viz., Beatrice, age 14 years. That, though the conduct of your oratrix toward her husband, the said Russell L. Parcell, has always been kind, chaste and above reproach, he, the said Russell L. Parcell, has, without any just cause or reason abandoned and deserted her and has declared his intentions to live with her no longer; that said abandonment has continued uninterruptedly for at least three years, is deliberate and final, and the separation of the parties is beyond any reasonable hope of reconciliation.
