Rev. O. Grey Hutchinson will deliver a sermon, taking for his subject, "Wo-he-ld." The Camp Fire Girls from Hereford and Cockeysville have been invited and are expected to attend in a body. The Aid Society of the Hereford Circuit of the M. E. Church met at the parsonage on Tuesday evening. The Ladies' Aid Society of the Baptist Church met on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Richard C. Myers. After the business of the society was disposed of Rev. O. Grey Hutchinson presented Miss Florence Ruhl with an ivory set, which was given by the society as a token of her untiring work in the society. Miss Ruhl is leaving for work in the city. Refreshments were served. The next meeting will be held on May 3, at the home of Mrs. Jacob Bull. Mr. Harvey Armacost, who has been on the sick list, is able to be out again. Mrs. Harry Armacost and son, Herman, continue ill at this writing. Mr. Charles Almony, who has been under treatment at a city hospital, is spending some time with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Almony. He is accompanied by his wife. Miss Ada. Foard, principal of the school here, is spending the Easter holidays at her home in Belair. Mrif. J. B. Kelley is spending the Easter holidays with her niece, Mrs. Walter Merryman, of Sparks. COWENTOS. The Ladies' Aid Society of Cowenton Church was entertained Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Elise Bowers. Mrs. Carrie Ely, of Bradshaw, spent Wednesday visiting friends here. Miss Grace Pearce spent several days last week with her sister, Mrs. J. Wal ter King, of Baltimore. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Bouise and daughters,, of Baltimore, spent Sunday at the home 'of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Francis. Mr. Marian Owens and son, Robert, of Philadelphia, spent the week-end at the home of hia| father, Mr. Harry D. Owens. Services at Cowenton Church Sunday as follows: Sunday school at 2 o'clock; Easter services at 8 o'clock. ----------—0------------- ARMACOST. "Uncle Ned" Martin, a Fifth district thorough-bred Democrat was married last Monday eight to Mrs. Bessie Ruby, of Hampstead. Rev. D. M. Dibble-"performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Martin will make their home in Hampstead. Sorry to lose you "Uncle Ned". We hope you will be the cause of the Democratic party being in better shape in Carroll county this fall. -------------O------------- TEXAS. A card party and dance will be held in the hall of St. Joseph's Church on Thursday, April 8. A farewell reception was given by the congregation of the Methodist Protestant Chhurch to Rev.
