LOCAL CORRESPONDENCE GLE1V ARM Mr. and Mrs. John Schneider and their son Burton spent Sunday with Mr. Schneider's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schneider of Fallston. The teachers and children of Greenwood public school are planning to hold an entertainment in the school on June 12. Mr. Clarence G. Cooper visited the schools in this neighborhood this week. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Burton, Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Burton, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Burton and Mr. and Mrs. John Clayton motored to Jarrettsville on Sunday and visited Mr. and Mrs. William Foard. Misses Grace Wann and Lucy Burton, teachers of Fork school, have for the last three weeks been assisted by Miss Wright on account of an average of enrollment of 98 daily for the spring months., The young people of Waugh Methodist Episcopal Church are planning their exercises for Children's Day, the date of which will be set later. The members of the lodge and their lady friends will decorate the graves, of all deceased Odd Fellows who rest in the different cemeteries in Pikesville, Reisterstown and surrounding country. A special invitation is extended to the young people, the boys and the girls, to join in the parade. A military band will furnish music. • RAYVILLE -'Grandmother" Carman, aged 92 years a. resident of Hampden, Baltimore, died at her home on Monday of last week. The funeral took place on the following Thursday afternoon at Pine Grove United Brethren Church ducted by her pastor, Rev. E. J. Renshaw, assisted by Rev. J. H. Lehman. She was a good mother, a kind friend and neighbor. She l< eral children, a number of grandchildren, great -grandchildren, and three greatrgreat-grandchildren to mourn her departure. Preaching service this Sunday evening at 8 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. J. H. Lehman. Mrs. Martha Ellen Bell, whose illness was mentioned last week, died at her home last Wednesday night, death being caused • by dropsy. She was 76 years of age, and is survived by three sons, a number of grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at Pine Grove United Brethren Church and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. H. Lehman. Mr. Russell Miller has secured a position at the Continental Building in the employ of the Western Maryland Railroad Company. Mr. and .Mrs. Walter Carr and family motored to Baltimore on last Sunday. Mr. Gilbert Fowble spent a few days this week with friends in Baltimore, where he visited the circus. Rev. Mr. Abbott of West Baltimore District visited our church on last Sunday and addressed the congregation. He accompanied Rev. D. M. Dibble over the charge and is a representative of the Epworth Leage Miss Elsie Fowble spent the weekend with her grandparents. Mrs. George Alban has returned home after spending some weeks in New York. Misses Florence Miller, Mary Carr, Virgie Hare and Mabel Stifler have returned from a week-end automobile trip to Philadelphia, where they visited Miss Carr's cousin. ETNA Sunday school at the United Brethren Church on Sunday at 10 o'clock. The public school will hold the necktie and apron social on the evening of June 12, at the school. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mays and Mr. and Mrs. David Ginsworth were the guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. William Mays of Eklo. Mrs. Rachel Martin had a number of guests from Baltimore on Sunday. Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Lehman and family of Rayville visited Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Hoffman last Sunday. Harry Clark, who has been confined to his home with measles, is able to be out again. Miss Mildred Brooks was the weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bailey. Don't forget the birthday social to be given on Saturday evening, May 29, by the missionary club of Mount Carmel M. E.
