| THE JEFFERSONIAN BALTIMORE COUNTY'S SUNDAY NEWSPAPER. TOWSON, MD., SEPTEMBER 20, 1924. "FRIENDLY ENEMIES."—Although Governor Charles W. Bryan of Nebraska is his opponent, it did not deter General Charles G. Dawes, Republican Vice Presidential candidate, from calling on him at his office in the Capitol at Lincoln. They became acquainted when General Dawes was a rising young lawyer in Lincoln and Mr. Bryan was associated with his illustrious brother, William Jennings Bryan. When General Dawes was leaving Mr. Bryan wished him success in all his future efforts except the November elections. General Dawes, laughing, thanked him.
