THE JEFFERSONIAN, TOWSON, MARYLAND Saturday, October 18, 1924—Page 5 HOMECOMING TO BE HELD ATTEMPTS TO END LIFE AT EUDOWOOD. Friends and former patients of Eudowood Sanatorium, Towson, have been invited to the twelfth annual homecoming of the institution, October 6. A feature of the celebration will be the unveiling of a bronze tablet to Miss Mary Eliza Reynolds, one of the founders and lifelong workers of the institution. Miss Reynolds, several years before her death in 1922, began to collect contributions toward the building of a nurses' home. At the time of her death she had collected $6,458 toward the fund, The home, after the remaining sum necessary was collected, was built. The bronze tablet to Miss Reynolds is the gift of the board of directors. Orgaanized in 1894, the institution was moved to its present location, near Towson, in 1899. It is a private institution. With a few exceptions, the majority of its 115 patients are cared for free of charge; the sanatorium being supported by contributors, an appropriation from the State and a small amount from the city. An addition to the hospital for advanced cases is under construction. The hospital officials also contemplate building a children's ward. Domestic Trouble Blamed For Act Of Frank L, Jones. Domestic difficulties are said to have caused Frank L. Jones of Ca-tonsville, to attempt to end his life by inhaling gas. After being removed to a hospital, where he was revived, the man was taken to the home of his sister, SALES AND LEGAL NOTICES. John Hnbner Rice, Attorney-at-Law, Baltimore, Mtl.
