The Czar, in 1907, paid 300,000 rubles to have the bowl made for the regiment, of which he was an honorary colonel, and it is now valued at $150,000. In the course of the revolution in Germany, after the World War, it fell into the hands of a war profiteer who sought in vain for a purchaser. It finally passed back into the hands of one of the officers of the old regiment, who brought it to this country. It is about two feet long and 2 feet tall.
