There is very little war news this week except that the Confederate cavalry are giving Generals Custer and Merritt a lot of trouble in the valley of Virginia. In the issue of November 25th, the only war news was reference to Sherman's campaign in Georgia and Gilmore's raids in Maryland. Some ladies of Baltimore, Southern sympathizers with the Confederacy, and admirers of Major Harry Gilmor, decided to send him a token of their esteem and best wishes, and they decided to send him a very superb sabre and scabbard. Mrs. Sarah Hutchins, wife of Thomas T.
