SALES AND LEGAL NOTICES.
Santa Claus Was On Hand Xmas Eve, Distributing Presents—But Pew of Tne Dana Of Carol Singers Ventured Out.
(Continued trom Page 1) fore 8 o'clock there were hundreds of children surging about the fence eager for the genial old Saint to pass them one of tne bank's Yuletide tokens.
So great did the throng of grownups and youngsters become that Marshal of Police Stansbury had to station Patrolman Chenoweth on the scene. In tneir jovial and frantic effort to greet Santa the kiddies pushed and snoved to get nearer the fence that protected the exhibit. About 100 packages were left, and children who were not able to meet Santa Xmas Eve can have one as long as they last by going to the bank.
The fame of The Jeffersonian's Community Chustmas Tree and Realistic Garden had spread so far that strangers from here, there and everywhere mingled among the crowd that stood beneath the brilliantly illuminated tree to get a peep at the setting, and it is estimated at least 5000 passed before the entirety since it has been on display.
Those who have not as yet viewed this unique setting have until after1 New Year to do so.

FURNITURE VAN CRASHES INTO WAUL. OP TOWSON STORE.
Much excitement was caused on Wednesday evening (Christmas Eve) when a furniture van belonging to the Empire Furniture Company, Texas, backed down from where it was parked on the York ftoad above the Funeral Chapel of John Burns' Sons, swerved at the corner of the York Road and Alleghany avenue, jumped across the pavement and into the side wall of the confectionery store of Lewis Held & Sons, knocking a big hole in it.
The streets at this time were packed with late Christmas shoppers, several of whom had a narrow escape from being hit by the truck, which almost completely demolished the inside of the store and did considerable damage to the entire side wall. The truck was practically not damaged.

SEEN BY BILLY PARKER,
MARRIAGE LICENSE
CLERK.
Whether it's the ¦ cold weather, with its threats of coal bills or just plain cold feet, something is radically wrong with the marriage license business in Baltimore county.
