Worthington Kemp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon J. Kemp, of Granite. The wedding took place at St. Thomas' Catholic Church. The Rev. Brent Matthews, assisted by the Rev. P. J. Bradley and the Rev. W. J. Tynan, officiated. Father Matthews was celebrant of the nuptial mass that followed the ceremony. A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Kemp will make their home at Granite. TWO HORSES BURN TO DEATH WHEN FIRE DESTROYS BARN. &•%•-,. "THE BEST IN AMERICA"MZiSi I The Bilt-Rite Co. 1218 John St. j| Baltimore, Md. % A spectacular fire destroyed a barn containing seven tons of hay in the Oaklawn Cemetery on Eastern Avenue road. Two horses were burned to death and several wagons and many tools used in the cemetery were lost. The blaze was discovered about 7 P. M. Joseph May, a caretaker, whose house is close to the barn, summoned the Essex and Dundalk Fire Departments. James Barnes, another employe, entered the burning building in an effort to save the horses, but the flames drove him back. Damage was estimated at about $8,000. ----------o---------- LADIES' MISSIONARY SOCIETY ELECTS OFFICERS. AT LIBERTY FROM WEEKS. 'PEN" TWO JACK HART. The Ladies' Missionary Society of the Community Church, Dundalk, met on Wednesday at the home of Mrs. James P. Kerr, and elected the following officers: Mrs. James P. Leonard O'Brien, by Elmer J. Cook, attorney, filed a suit in the Circuit Court at Towson against prank H. Timken and Frances H. Timken in which the plaintiff claims $5,000 damages for personal injuries alleged to have been received on October 23 last when, it fc claimed, he was struck and knocked do\».n °* the defendants automobile while walking along Gittings avenue, near the York road. -----------o---------- NINTH DISTRICT PROPERTY CHANGES HANDS. A deed was filed at Towson, by which Charles C. Klapp and wife sell eighty-nine accres of land in the Ninth District, to Carl C. Clapp and wife. The stamps attached to the deed indicate that the consideration was $10,000. ————o---------- MILLER-NELSON CO. PURCHASES BEAR CREEK TRACT. The Miller-Nelson Company, Incorporated, has purchased twenty-two acres on Bear Creek, from Joseph Barcikowski and wife. The stamps attached to the deed indicates that the consideration was $11,500. ----------o---------- BLACK HORSE MAN ILL. Mr. J. Thomas Nelson is quite ill at his home in Black Horse. MARTIN W. HYLAND SELLS STORE PROPERTY AT COCKEYS- VILLE. Martin W. Hyland has sold his store business ^at the corner of the York road and* Western Run Turnpike, to Benjamin Aiken. Mr. Cleveland Chilcoat, of My Lady's Manor, is confined to the home of his father, Mr. John Chilcoat, at Texas, suffering from a gathered leg. ----------o---------- TOWSON FOLKS IN AUTO ACCIDENT. WILLIAM F. TILSON. Two weeks ago. Jack Hart, serving a life term for his part in thei murdtr of William B. Norris, and the confiscation of the contractor's pay-roll, with William F. Tilson, wllO was serving a 5 year sentence, he having been found guilty at Towson of robbery, "vamoosed," unmolested, from the Maryland, Penitentiary, and their whereabouts are still unknown to the police.
