Mr. Fitzpatrick has been occupying his new home but a short while, and steam heat is as new to him as the house, and when the "cold snap" came, he fired up to the furnace's capacity, and pretty soon the floors, walls and everything else, were steaming hot, and naturally Frank thought the place was on fire. Without hat, coat or umbrella, he made a dash for the door and after running at break neck speed for several blocks, arrived at the Towson Fire Engine House, where he gave the alarm—which proved only to be a false one.
