Baltimore countains who (ever since the advent of Prohibition, have continued to make dandelion w>ine, grape-wine and other beverages which for hundreds of years have been fermented for home consumption, are now warned by a definite ruling from the United States Revenue Department, that such procee-dure is now a simon-pure violation of the prohibition laws, and those who persist in making wines are just as guilty as the bootlegger or the man who operates a "still."
The new ruling became effective May 1, just at a time when the dandelion season is nearly at its height. Copies of the ruling, known as Regulation 60 are being widely distributed by Edmund Budnitz, prohibition director for Maryland.
"Regulation 60," as the 255 page volume is called, is a complete revision of rules relating to alcoholic liquors. On the point about which Representative John Philip Hill has long maintained an active controversy with the prohibition unit, the!} text says:
"Any person, for use exclusively in his home, may manufacture cider and fruit juices which are non-intoxicating Avithout obtaining a permit . . . Fruit juices may not lawfully be used for beverage purposes after becoming intoxicating."
In another place the word "intoxicating" is said to be defined by the national prohibition act—that is,

anything is intoxicating that contains more than one-half of 1 per cent, by volume of alcohol. The person who wishes to make cider or fruit juice under this rule may have the fruit pressed by anyone equipped with the proper machinery, but must take the product home immediately.
If it goes sour rhe may sell it to a licensed manufacturer of vinegar But if it is intended for other than immediate btverage use or for other than home use, fresh cider and fruit juices must be immediately sterilized and sealed or otherwise preserved.
Dried fruits, dandelions and rhubarb may not be lawfully used for the production of "non-intoxicating cider and fruit juices."
The advertisement and sale of all apparatus and materials for the manufacture of liquor for use in the home or elsewhere for beverage pur-; poses are forbidden.
The sale of malt extract with hips: and clarifier to other than permittees is not permissible, notwithstanding the fact that the vendor may furnish the purchaser of such materials with receipts containing a warning or caution not to do certain things, as thereby the product will develop a high alcoholic content.

As distributors in this territory for the Service Motors, Inc., Wabash, Ind., manufacturers of Service Trucks.
Service Trucks are designed with a thorough understanding of truck-operating conditions. They are built to do the work you will require of them with the minimum of attention or care. They are designed for continuous service under the most exacting conditions. All the valuable features of truck design that our twelve years of specialization in truck-building have developed are embodied in the Service Trucks of today. Experimental construction is rigidly excluded until it is unquestionably perfected and proved.
Service Trucks, while not the highest priced trucks made, are not sold at a low price. If they were, they could not be good, but they are positively the lowest price and cheapest truck in the end, by reason of their long life, comparatively light upkeep expense and reasonable price on repair parts, and their ability to give the greatest ton mileage for the least
