FIVE-STORY YEAST PLANT AT COLGATE BURNED.
PROBABLY WAITING FOR CROP OF HAY.
It is generally understood that the Keeper of the Court House has included in his tasks the job of keeping the plot where the Wayside Cross stands, in order.
Folks are wondering if he is waiting until the grass gets high enough to use a hay mower on.
Fire destroyed the big five-story yeast plant of the Federal Yeast Corporation at Colgate.
Thousands of gallons of vinegar and thousands of gallons in tanks were destroyed. A large amount of yeast and fermented yeast stock was located in the plant and an explosion was feared.
Firefighters from Baltimore City, Dundalk and Camp Holabird fire companies responded. A third alarm was sounded shortely after the arrival of the firemen.
Before a single stream of Water could be directed on the fire by city apparatus the main plant was a mass of smouldering ruins and the yeast manufacturing plant and water tanks

Announcing The Appointment
... of...
The Automotive Service Company
As distributors in this territory for the Service Motors, Inc., Wabash, Ind., manufacturers of Service Trucks.
Service Trucks are designed with a thorough understanding of truck-operating conditions. They are built to do the work you will require of them with the minimum of attention or care. They are designed for continuous service under the most exacting conditions. All the valuable features of truck design that our twelve years of specialization in truck-building have developed are embodied in the Service Trucks of today. Experimental construction is rigidly excluded until it is unquestionably perfected and proved.
Service Trucks, while not the highest priced trucks made, are not sold at a low price. If they were, they could not be good, but they are positively the lowest price and cheapest truck in the end, by reason of their long life, comparatively light upkeep expense and reasonable price on repair parts, and their ability to give the greatest ton mileage for the least cost. Although the engines in the boiler room of the plant were started to pump water into the tanks, the pressure was inadequate and the supply limited. After almost an hour of fruitless effort to get sufficient water attempts were made to run hose lines from the distant Colgate Creek.

GOULD NOT WALK BECAUSE OF PAIN
Bad Case of Woman's Illness Remedied by Lydia £. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound
St. Louis, Missouri. —"I had such a bad case of female trouble that I could not walk because of the pains from inflammation. My back was all done up. I could hardly bend, could not go up stairs because of weakness, and no one could possibly be in worse shape than I was. I have taken twelve bottles of Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound, and I am a strong woman now and can work down any of my neighbors. They wonder how I can do so much work. I dare say that I have recommended your medicine to a thousand women. A little book was thrown at my door, and that is how I first learned of it. "—Mrs. D. M. Beauchamp, 1104 Morrison Avenue, St. Louis, Mo.
Letters like this bring out the merit of Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. They tell of the relief from such pains and ailments after taking Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound.
In a recent country-wide canvass of purchasers of Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound, 98 out of every 100 report they were benefited by its use. For sale by druggists everywhere.
Mr. Ross G. Clagget, son of Mr. J. Adam and the late Mrs. Clagget, of near Roslyn, was married to Miss Edna Lutz, of Gwynnbrook.
