Braddock's road passes Jiroug'n said farm, which makes it an eli- gible stand tor a public, house, being about twenty-two miles from Fort Cumberland. Few arms "in Maryland, the same distance from Baltimore, are move valuable than this. It is of the, first quality as to soil, heavily timbered, and nearly the one half of it well adapted to timothy meadow; the residue equally well adapted to the raising of wheat, rye, oats, ike. The one-fifth of the purchase money will be required in hand, the residue in five annual payments. Mr. Grant will sho w the above land to any person who should be inclined to pur chase". RAN away, on the 2Glh instant, from the subscribe!', living- in llush River neck, Harford county, Maryland, two negro men, one named HEN." about 35 years old, G feet high, strait and well made, of a darkish compaction ; high nose ; has lost one of his upper fore-tceth ; generally wears his wool platted or queued, and plays on the violin. The other, named HAR- RY, about 25 year.? of age, 6 feet high., dark- ish complection ; a remarkably handsaroe fel- low, arid when spoken tq» has generally a plea- sant countenance. The end of one of his lit- tle fingers has been rr.ashcdby a piece of tim- ber, the nail split, and the end of the finger thereby rendered blunt: wears his wool gene- nerai'.y platted, and turned up with a comb. These negroes are brothers, and both very tr.ond sawyers, and are much accustomed to hewing timber with the broad axe. Their com- mon working cioaths were, a short round- about jacket, of coarse brown cloth, and lined. either with green or yellow baize, and shirts :t"d trousers of Russia sheeting, with good felt hats. They probably took with them vari- ous other cioaths, which cannot be described The above reward will be given, for securing the said negroes in any jail without the state of Muryhmd, or fifty dollars for each. The drawing will commence as soon as a suf- ficient number i» sold to authorize it. The managers have given bond to the state in the penalty of sixty thousand dollars, for the faith- ful payment of the prizes, which will be paid subject to a deduction of 15 per cent, 30 day, after the drawing is finished. Prizes not; de- manded within a twelve-month from the coin pletion of the drawing, will be considered as a donation to the College.
