premises before the day of sale, renders any
farther description of them unnecessary.
The purchnee money must be paid, in four
equal annual instalments, the purchaser giv-
ing bond with approved security for the pay-
ment of each instalment, with interest there-
on, annually, from the day of sale. On the
payment of the purchase money, with the
interest thereon, a conveyance will he made
to the purchaser, by the subscriber, in vir-

THE Subscriber (in virtue of a decree of
the honorable the chancellor of Maryland,
mada in the cause of Robert Fergusson v. S.
Bucket) will on Friday, the 27th day of Fe-
bruary next, at 12 o'clock, sell at the court-
house of Charles county, in the state of Ma
rytand, to the highest bidder, all the estate
and interest of Samuel Locket, of the said
county, in and to all those tracts or parcels of I
land, lying in Durham Parish, and county j
aforesaid, called Bucket's Slipe, Locket's I
Hazard, Lucket's Addition, and Lttcketfs ,
Chance, containing by estimation, four bun i
dred acres ; and in and to another tract or par" J
eel, lying in the said Parish, called Frog's
Nest, containing about one hundred & twen
ty-five acres.
The terms of sale, prescribed by the de-

For the punishment of Forg&ry and for other
purpose's.
WHEREAS it has been represented to this
general assembly, that the crime of forging
bin!, notes and negotiable notes hath |
sed, and the punishment already provid-
ed bylaw, not being thought sufficient to pre-
vent the commission of the crime, for reme-

BE it enacted by the general assembly of Ma-
ryland, That any person who shall with a Iran ¦
dulent intent, employ an artist to engrave or
etch any plate, in imitation of the note or notes
of any established bank within this state, Or of
any bank which may hereafter be established
within this state, or which are or maybe es-
tablished by law in any oi the United States,
or any person engaged in engraving or etching
such plate or plates, or any person in any man-
ner engaged in striking impression? from such
plate orphiles, or any person who shall ailix
to such notes, fraudulent or forged signatures,
or any person who shall be in any mauiUT
concerned in the altering, forging or counter-
feiting, any note of any ban!-: now existing with-
in this state, |
