A line directed to W. & left at this office will be attended to. mav 12.___________________ eo4t A Fashionable Disease CURED WITHOUT ANY USE WHATEVER OF MERCURY Notwithstanding the many remedies for curing ind removing the Venerial disease from the constitution, and. without the use of Mercury, which have been frequently pretend- ed, and almost as often proved ineffecvual; although Jtfife honorable faculty, Docii Mediae, have united most generally in declaring no re- medy to exist, in their bvdi.;f, caparbje of reihov- ing the Venerial in all cases -without tlue use of Mercury, whicii they do not hesitate to pro- nounce extremely pemici&UB, and not unl'ro- quently making the most desperate ravage;; on the whole cottst:t\tio:i, and r*. ilderingtl of health ever afterward wretched and misera- ble ; yet, naiwiihstimding all these objections heaped together, the writer, who has no other inter' st in the business than su< h as every well disposed citizen ought to have, and feel for the happiness and well being of his fellow crea- tures, does most confidently give assurance, that he is positive that there is another remedy, perfectly mild and easy in its operation, and which will effectually remove the disorders in all cases, and to all itite?its and purposes, e.s that Mercury will effect the same, but frequent- ly to tbe great injury of the person's future health and hiippiness. The writer, knowing the disadvantages un- do* which a medicinal specific labors, which mates its appearance (as it were) in Arcana, undertakes to make this important affair, known in behalf of the proprietors ; and he will ne- glect no opportunity or justifiable means of making this business as generally known and as extensively useful as possible-^the old fashionable, mechanical, precise, and lingering mode of proceeding-, in similar matters to the contrary, notwithstanding. Therefore, he ear- nestly requests those who may need assistance in the complaint above alluded to, that they make seasonable application in order to obtain a timely relief—Says a wise and learned gentle- man of this country—*' Except the kine pox, (to which this is similar and equal) a discovery so important and so useful to mankind, has not been made in physics during the last century." " It has been more than seventy and seven times tried in America, within two years past, and has ever and uniformlyoperated,!«fl//cni-M, to full satisfaction." The specific, which is a pleasant cordial, is nice, and used without any change in diet or mode of living, and with the same inattention that a glass of wine is drank. Itis offered, for the first time, torthe benefit of the people in this place. Although the particular province of this useful specific is the Venerial, yet, as it effects this point, by purifying the ti nore i-eunty, having her. tofore applied, by patition in writing, to'ihe Judges of the said cotfiity court, priyihg tl e benefit of the " act lor the relief of sundry insolvent :," and a schedule of his property & a list, of his creditors, on i.i ih, as far as he can as- certain them, as directed by Raid set, being annexed to his petition ; and the said Chaflst Morneweck having proved to the satis! di- 011 of the said court thai he hath resided in the state of Mar;, land the two pi.-a ding years, prior to the passage oi the said act; and hav- eri brought before die said court, and discharged from imprisonment, on taking-Uu» oalh by said act required.
