MECHANICS' BANK OF BALTIMORE,

THE Stockholders will take notice, that
agreeably to the charter of the said bank, an
election will be held at the banking house, in
Calvert-street, on Mokday, the first day of
June next, between the hours of 9 o'clock, a.
m. and 3, P. M. for fifteen Directors, to conduct
the affairs of the said bank for the ensuing
twelve months, nine of which fifteen directors
shall be practical mechanics or manufacturers,
within the description contained in the follow-
ing bye-law, as established by the board of

coming within description of a practical m«-

CHARLES MORNEWICK, an insolvent
debtor of Baltimore county, having heretofore
applied, by petition in writing, to the Judge s
of the said county court, praying the benefit
of the " act for the relief of sundry insolvent
debtors," and a schedule of his property & a
listof his creditors, on oath, as far as he can as-
certain them, as directed by said act, being
annexed to his petition ; and the said Charles
Mornewcck. having proved to the satisfacti-
on of the said court that he hath resided in
the. state of Maryland the two preceding years,
prior to the pass.;.-/ ol the said act j and hav-
ing been brought before the said court, and
discharged from imprisonment, on taking the*
oath by said act required.
It is thereupon adjudged and ordered, by
lire said court, that the said Charles Mor-
newcck, appear before the said county court,
at the court-house in the said county, at 10
o'clock, in the forenoon of the tenth day of
