WHEREAS an''Information hath been filed,
in the District Court of the United States,
for Maryland District, by John Stephen,
esq. Attorney for the same, against, three
Casks Hardware, imported in and on board
the ship called John Adams, from Liver-
pool, in the Kingdom of Great Britain, 'for
sale ; which said Goods and Wares were
Entered in the office of the collector of the
Port of Baltimore, in tVe District of Bal-
inore, in Maryland District, and were
chargeable with duties and customs, im-
posed by the laws of the United Stales,
and that with design to evade the said du-
ties, so as aforesaid impossed and charge-
able, upon said goods, they w«re not in-
voiced according to the actual cost thereof
at the place of exportation, praying a con-
demnation of the same according to law.
And whereas, the honerable James Houston,
judge, of the said court, hath ordered
MONDAY the 20th day of July, next, at
10 o'clock in the forenoon, of the same day
for holding a court at the: Court House, in
the city ni Baltimore, for said trial agree-
a'clv to the prayer of said Attorney.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN,
That a district court will be then and there
