in the District Court of the United Stales,
for Maryland District, by John Stephen,
esq. Attorney for the same, against three
Casks Hardware, imported in and on board
the Snip called John Adams, from Liver-
pool, in the Kingdom of Great Britain, for
sale j which said Goods and Wares were
entered in *he office of the collector of the
Port of Baltimore, in the District of Bal-
nore, in- Maryland District, and were
chargeable with duties and customs, im-
posed by the laws of the United States,
and that with design to evade the said du-
ties, so as aforesaid impossed and charge-
able, upon said goods, they were not in.
voiced according to the actual cost thereof
at the place of exportation, praying a con-
demnation of the same according to law.
And whereas, the honorable J*ames Houston,
judge, of the said court, hath ordered
