ministration on the personal estate of Barnet
Jiinnix, late of said county deceased: All
persona having claims against the said de

same with the vouchers thereof, to the sub-

Ranaway from the subscriber, living in
Prince George's county, near Alexandria fer-
ry, the two following Nefjro Men, both black.
smiths by trade: NET,', and sometimes calls
himself Edward Plafy, SI years old, a small
slender made black Negro, and can read and
write. I cannot describe his dress, as he car-
ried a number of good clothes with him. He
has a wife in Alexandria, a free mulatto wo-
man of the name of Rachel, and four civil.

dark mulatto, midling lusty, active and well
made. His dress I cannot describe, as he al.
so carried one or two suits of sundry clothes
with him Any person apprehending the above
slaves, and seeming them in jail so that I get
tliem again, shall receive, if taken within 20
<| miles from home, 60 dollars ; or if more than
that distance, the above reward, and al! rea-
sonable charges if brought home, or in pro-
portion for either. All masters of vessels &
others are forewarned from employing or car-
rying them off at their peril.

wharf, below Smith & Hooper's Bake-house,
fur the sale of SLATE, of which he has a
good supply in readiness for the present sea-
son. The quality of lbe slilte is s,lc1' tnat
little need be said of it—genera! satisfaction
has been experienced by those wbo have us-
ed it- , .
Many building? inthis city arc covered with
Slate that is really rotting, owing to the quan-
tity of clay natural**' mixed witli it ; but the
slate here advertised is of the, most durable
kind, in consequence of the Iron contained in
it. Such persons as see it their interest to
use. "an article of acknowledged superiority,
may depend on having their orders punctually
executed, as W. C. is determined to receive
no more than lie can fulfil in time agreeably
to contract. ' .
The buildings already covered with tins
slate are a» follow :—Mr. Robert Oliver's
(nick buildings in Gay-street ; captain Carr's,
on Fell's,Point ; Philip l.iltig's, Baltimore-
street ; Henry Fayson's, Hanover-street: Ja-
cob Myers's; Soutii-street, and Amos A. Wil-
liams's warehouse, on Bow'y's wharf.
N. B. The price of the Slate is 10 Dollars
per square of ten feet (100/ert superficial mea-
surr. ) The slate is measured when the work
is finished, allowing one foot extra in the length
of the eaves, hips and valiies.
SLATE?S will be recommended, it re-
quired, that will do credit to the work. '

county court, in cases of insolvent debtors,
will be sold bv Public Auction, on the pre-
mises, on THURSDAY, the 10th day of
September next, at 10 o'clock, in the fore,

The HOUSE and LOT, lately occupied
by John Miller as a Tavern, and known by
| the name of the Swan Inn ; the Lot fronts
on Y ..k-street 25 feet, and extends bade to
Saiisbury.strcet. The improvements are a
three story Brisk House, with backbuild-
ings, suitable either for a Tavern, or private
Dwelling, and a wooden building for Stables.
The above Lot is subject to a Ground Rent
of 150 dollars per annum; there is also a lien
on it by mortgage, the amount of which will
he made known on the day of sale.
