| 273 Silver less pure than the standard, to be defaced by the assayer and returned, the worker to pay like fees to the assayer as if the metal had been standard silver. Manufactured silver, of a decedant's estate not subject to the operation of the assay law. The general issue to be pleaded, and special mat- ter given in evidence, and if judgment be given in favor of defendants or plaintiffs non-suited, defend- ant to have treble costs. Fines under 50 dollars recovered before a justice of the peace ; above 50 dolars in the county court, one half for the use of the city, the other for that of the informer.
