Stated meetings on the first Tuesday in each month throughout the^yerr. The Baltimore and York turnpike road extends to Yoi k haven, about 56 miles. It is under the di- rection of two incorpoiated companies. The Ma* ryland company have the direction as far as the Maryland line, and the Pennsylvania company the residue of the road. The toll-gates are placed at unequal distances, so as to embrace the profits of the travelling ivhich other roads may throw into it, Haltimore and Reisterstoxvn Turnpike Road Corn- pant/. Capitalstock, 638,000 dollars, in shares of20 dol- lars each. Office Chatham street, near St, Paul's * lane. Dividends declared every six months. James Carroll, president; John F. This road is 66 feet wide, having an artificial one of 24 feet wide, and twelve inches of stone or gra- vel, with side roads and runs from the city of Bal- timore to ReisterVtown, and from thence in two directions to the Pe ;nsyivania line: the one through Winchester towards Petersburg, 40 miles and some perches ; and the other towards Hanover, 35 miles and some perches. These roads are met by other turnpikes in Pennsylvania, owned by companies chartered by the legislature of that state. Falls Turnpike Road. Office No. 46, South street.
