Davidge, Nathaniel Potter, Samuel Baker, Wm. Donaldson, Elisha De Butts, Wm, Gibson, Richard W. Hall. BALTIMORE COLLEGE. This Seminary is founded by a Charter from the state ; under the direction of a respectable board of trustees, with the privilege of conferring degrees. The present Faculty consists of the rev. Samuel Knox, A. M. Principal ; the rev. William Sine air, V. Principal, and Mr. Francis Little, professor of Mathematicks and Natural Philosophy j and two tutors. The number of students, in the different branches of literature and science, is generally about one hundred and twenty ; but some funds or annual endowment by the state, would be necessa y to place the institution on the best foundation for the more advanced parts of liberal education. VACCINE INSTITUTION. This institution was established in the spring of !8o2, by Dr. James Smith, of this city ; and has been ever since continued in successful operation, affording at all times a fresh supply of genuine vac- cine matter, to the great benefit and convenience of the pub ic.
