8 It was directed, however, in this connection, that the Deputy Marshal be instructed to send for the Manager of the Eutaw Athletic Club and tell him that as the dalays which caused the noise and confusion referred to were the fault of the management of the Club, he will have to remedy such irritating causes in the future, otherwise it will affect the consideration of applications for permits by the Eutaw Athletic Club hereafter. Survey Ordered nn Officer John H.Jaecksch. Eastern District. APPlication as follows, which is filed together with certificate from Dr. Herbert Harlan, as Exhibit Ho. 805, was today received:- "September 30,1902. To The Honorable, The Board of Police Commissioners, City. Gentlemen:- I respectfully make application to your Honorable Board for a survey, with a view of being placed on the Pension List. I am 48 years old, and I have been a member of the Police Department for 17 years and 8 months, the whole of which period has been spent in the Eastern District on night duty. Owing to the condition of my eyes, I find I am unable longer to do effective work. Enclose please find certificate of my attending physician. Very respectfully, Off. JOHN H. JAECKSCH." It was ordered that the Police Surgeons thoroughly examine Officer Jaecksch, and report whether or not he is permanently incapacitated for active police duty.
