| Assignment of Magistrates. The Secretary reported to the Board that Justice William J. Garland, Eastern District, had notified the Department on Saturday October 4, 1902, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 8 A.M., October 6,1902, until 8 A.M., October 7,1902, and that he, the Secretary had assigned Additional Justice Neil-son Poe, Jr., to sit at the Eastern District during the absence of Justice William J.Garland. The action of the Secretary, as above, was approved. The Secretary reported that on Sunday October 5,1902, the Department had been notified by Justice James A.Fechtig, Central District, that he desired to be absent from his duties from 8 A.M., to 5 P.M., October 6,1902, and that he, the Secretary, had assigned Justice William Reed to act as Police Justice for the Central District from 8 A.M., October 6,1902, until relieved, vice Fechtig. The action of the Secretary in the assignment of Justice Reed, was also approved. Boxing Match. Report. Report was received from the Deputy Marshal upon the subject of Boxing Exhibition held at Germania Maennerchoir Hall October 3,1902, under the auspices of the Eureka Athletic Club. Said report was read, and ordered filed, see Exhibit No. 808_. Boxing Match. Application for Permit. Application was received from the Eureka Athletic Club for permit to hold Sparring Exhibition at Music Hall, Thursday night, October 16,1902.
